Launch Party Low Down & Style Inspo from Millie Jane Design
After the success of the quiz night, we caught up with LRFS Fundraising Director, Zoë Louca, to get the inside scoop on what they have up their sleeves for the upcoming launch party. Spoiler alert: you're going to want to grab a ticket ASAP
Can you tell us about the quiz night you set up in aid of Pancreatic Awareness Month?
The quiz was a huge success! It was our first event, so we we're so pleased with the amount of people who came to Revolucion de Cuba in support of Pancreatic Awareness month. We had the pro quiz master from Leeds Old Bar to ask a range of questions from sports trivia to bizzare questions like “which body malformation did Marilyn Monroe have when she was born?” (It's 6 toes if you're wondering.) Around 250 guests attended, helping us to raise over £750! The winners were thrilled with their prizes donated by Amazon, Fresh2Death and Flux. Even for those guests' with limited interest in general knowledge, the drinks were flowing and everyone had a fun time.
So, we can expect big things for the launch party then?
Yes! On Thursday 29th November, we will be starting the launch party at 9pm. We will be opening up the conservatory at the Faversham for beer pong, a bouncy castle and one huge raffle. The raffle prizes are getting bigger and better and will include Flux tickets, High Rise tickets, vinyls, a £50 Boots voucher, a Bakery 164 voucher, gifts from The Edge and voucher bundles from Boots, John Lewis and WHSmith. All guests will then continue the party at Donuts.
Sounds fun! What other events have you got planned for the future?
On the 1st December our models will be walking the runway at Santino's fashion show (click here to grab your tickets). We will be running a glitter art stall and another raffle with more amazing prizes. Next term we're planning some more big events, including a wine and cheese night, an evening at Bierkeller and a karaoke night at Terrace. Keep an eye out for our events on Facebook. We're aiming to raise 20,000!
Thanks Zoe! Who doesn't love beer pong and a bouncy castle? – Grab your launch party tickets here.
